How To Submit for Simply Recipes: The 2025 Grocery Awards

We’re now accepting submissions for The Simply Recipes 2025 Grocery Awards, where we celebrate the best new grocery products that make weeknight dinners more manageable. The winners will be revealed on our website on March 18, 2025.

OVERVIEW

To determine the best new grocery finds of the year, products will be tested by the Simply Recipes editorial staff and a panel of food experts, registered dietitian nutritionists, and home cooks. 

We are only accepting submissions for products that help us get weeknight dinners on the table, as outlined below.

• Frozen entrées and side dishes: pizza, casseroles, pasta, soups, dumplings, curries, nuggets, rice, pasta, burritos, French fries, vegetable medleys, etc.
• Refrigerated staples: kimchi, salad kits, noodle kits, dips and spreads, cheeses, deli meats, etc.
• Pantry staples: sauces, dressings, canned foods, salsas, instant noodles, boxed mac & cheese, savory baking mixes, shelf-stable pre-made meals, breads, etc.

At this time, we are not considering the following products: 

• Drinks: wines, beers, coffees, teas, juices, etc.
• Desserts: ice creams, confections, pre-made desserts, boxed cake mixes, cookies, etc.
• Snacks: yogurt, chips, popcorn, nuts, protein balls, bars, candy, etc.
• Breakfast or lunch: bagels, pancakes, waffles, egg bites, muffins, oatmeal, etc.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

1. The product must have launched or be new to major supermarket shelves between January 2024 and December 2024, and remain in stock at least through April 2025. If the product will be launching between October and December 2024 and gets selected for consideration, we will reach out to you to discuss how to consider it in our tastings.

2. The product must be available in AT LEAST ONE US-based national supermarket chain like Albertsons, Kroger, Food Lion/Giant, Wegmans, Walmart, Target, Publix, Costco, Whole Foods, ALDI, Safeway, etc.

3. Products only sold online through Amazon, Fresh Direct, Thrive, or other online groceries are not eligible at this time.

4. You must be willing and able to ship the product to us for testing, and again for photography if the product is selected as a winner. 

HOW TO SUBMIT

We are accepting submissions until Friday, October 18, 2024. Please fill out this PRODUCT SUBMISSION FORM for each product you would like us to consider for tasting. 

If the product is selected for tasting, we will contact you after Friday, October 30, 2024, with instructions for where to send product samples.

If the product is selected as a winner, we will contact you after December 19, 2024, with instructions for where to send the product for photography.

PLEASE DO NOT SEND PERISHABLE SAMPLES UNTIL THEY ARE REQUESTED.
